Lecture Within the READING WEEK of the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology, University of Zadar

Mirna Tkalčić Simetić held a lecture, titled „Ethnography of Uncertainty – Relations of Time, Space and Sociality at Zagreb’s flea market”, within the annual Reading week organized by the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology, University of Zadar.

The lecture, held on November 26, 2021,  consisted of presenting a book „Hrelić – Anthropology of Contested Place“, with special attention being paid to the role of uncertainty in the constitution of Hrelić, flea market located in Novi Zagreb.  Uncertainty has also been approached to as a key point of contact between social production and social construction of space, two analytical perspectives upon which the ethnography is based upon.
